$2181 to the first person who ports Mozilla to Amiga OS payable via Paypal.

Looking to make a $1000, port this app and I will pay you. If the dead BeOs can have a port so can Amiga OS, spread the word.

If this app does get ported, that'll probably end up being the cost of a licensed serial.

Hooooo

To be fast it would need to be in asm, not C++. Remember the original is in VC++ or C.

It's a hell of a job, the download is 40 meg for the source alone and that's not including the JavaScript and other modules, and just remember that will be very highly compressed.

It's asking a lot for a pissy $1000 imho

Whilst I agree with the previous posts about there being too much source to stuff around with to port it to AOS. I must say Pyro, I'm very impressed at your dedication to amiga in general, I salute you! I hope your passion never fades! All the best. m

Hooooo That's some dedication indeed

Whoa. That's pure dedication. Apart from the cause you're supporting, this kind of dedication is worth admiring.

I know I would never be able to show this kind of dedication.

Getting lots of coverage and donations on other Amiga websites. Even ANN is positive!

http://www.ann.lu/comments2.cgi?view...ews&start=1&42

http://amigaworld.net/modules/news/a...hp?storyid=500

http://amiga.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=2176

The first time all the flame war websites and regular Amiga websites all agree on something!

In my post I was looking at it purely from the perspective of programming it.

Didn't want to give the impression I was knocking the idea, if someone manages it I will be a little more than impressed.

I hope this really goes somewhere. It would be great to see Mozilla ported to the Amiga.

$$$$ 2815 Bootie

Twist gets the boot from the # 3 spot on the Top Amiga Zilla's. Josh beats him by $1 dollar.

Bottie is now @ $ 2815

Also, Thanks to Robin Cloutman for setting up

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amizilla/join

So the work of porting this app can be shared.

DAMN, I exceeeded my bandwith with my web hosting company for this month due to everyone coming to checkout the AmiZilla Project! Don't worry it will not be lights out for my website until next month. I watch my resources closely and upgraded to the next higher level when my bandwith went to 0. So surfers to my site will not be impacted. You bandwith pigs!

Bootie is @ $2850.

Thumbs up

A very honourable project. But who are Individual computers? That looks a little bit dodgy to me. Maybe they want some sort of claim to the final product if it ever gets ported. What happens if it doesn't take off? Will you have to pay all the donations back?

In Amiga Format years ago there was a screenshot showing Netscape on Amiga, but it wasnt 100% working they said. They obviously never really finished it off.

(If I had the money, I would offer 5000 to anyone beeing able to make the Boxer a reality. Or making a 68k clone)

Individual computers create some fine Amiga hardware, the Catweasel MK3 PCI/Flipper. This card allows you to use Amiga floppy's in a PC, you can also use Amiga keyobards and joysticks. This is a great company.

http://www.jschoenfeld.com/indexe.htm

It might take a year to port but fear not the Amiga will have a version of the Netscape browser, Finally!

What happens with the money is up to each and every donor, they are the dreamers that dare make this project live. I put $2000 of my own money into this so we all really want it to happen.
