Amiga Linux

Not sure it's the right place for this thread...

Who knows a linux that would work on an 68000 based amiga? (yes : 68000 and not 68020 and more).
I tried uCLinux ( http://home.tvd.be/cr26864/Linux/68000/ ), but it does a bus adress error...

minix, it was on one of the fisk disks. I never used it because it is very limited, eg i don't think it had a hard drive controller driver...
check it out.. just went to google and searched "minix and amiga" and got:

i tried the amiga minix, but i've not enough memory (1M chip, 2M fast) to run it correctly.
Can't even do a "ls"

i'm searching for a linux like the TOMSRTBT, that would use only one floppy (880k if possible).
As i'm not a software hacker, i can't do it myself

sorry, I didn't realise minix was such a hog
It looks like uClinux has been put on ice on the amiga front anyway I thought minix on the fish disks just booted straight from disk on a 1mb 500...

i wrote to the author of Amiga ucLinux, and there's no more recent version.

And Amiga Minix needs 3 floppies to boot : 1 kernel, 1 /usr and 1-i don't-remember-what (root fs ?) .

Hmm there was a update of linux with hard drive support. I remember downloading it on my 540mb hd, sadly I have problems with that HD.

I've been googling but havn't seem to found it, if any one does find it, a upload to the zone would be nice .

Right found it. The update is available at
http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/minix/amiga/index.html

There is always some nice stuff on that site =]
