Impossamole whdload sound issue

Was there ever a fix for the sound bug in the whdload version of this game? When you attack the first enemy it triggers multiple sound fx making it noisy.

Killing enemies, picking up coins and various random events causes the sound to glitch where a lot of sound samples are played sequentially, one after the other. It makes the game very noisy indeed You can trigger the behavior simply killing the first enemy.

Indicates no fix.

If I remember correctly even on a real amiga it had the same issue.

If anyone can fix it that would be great

I have exactly the same problem on a real A1200. Tried every tooltype option I can think of. Version 1.2 readme for this game indicates a sound bug WAS fixed, but in doing so they must've introduced another sound bug on certain hardware I'd guess.

Maybe it'll be fixed one day......

I also tried just downloading the Paranoimia crack of this game and run it on a vanilla A1200 with kickstart 1.3 and cache disabled. Same bug manifests in same way, so looks like another attempt needs to be made at patching this glitchy mess out.
