I didn't mean Marz was funny, and I am one who thinks he had more chances than he deserved.... I just meant what I wrote, he was indirectly responsible for some of the funniest moments on EAB...

To get back onto the main topic, as I haven't reviewed enough old threads, I can't give a definitive answer. In vague terms, anything that is written with nostalgia in mind does it for me. 'What is your favourite...?' or 'Can you remember...?' are always sure things to spark and maintain my interest.

Then there is any subject steered towards the technical side of things - such as how a given technique was created (or what it did) or what the hardware was/is capable of.

Finally, (it may go without saying) to reach the top, a topic has to stay clear of descending into either a flame war or a 'mine is better than yours'.

Arrow No mobile for me!

The count is at 4! I even have had a bet with 3 other die-hard cellphone haters from about 4 years ago where we bet who would be last to get a cellphone. None of us have caved in yet and I don't ever intend to.

When you want some peace and quiet at home or on holiday, the last thing you want is people disturbing you.

Happy

Maybe this doesn't qualify since I can't find the thread, but one thread that made me laugh out loud -- and I mean loud -- was titled "Guess what?" and the message contained a picture of Erik Estrada pointing at you with the title: YOU'RE A HOMO

Who posted that? Ian? Paul? FRED?

That little thread was a private joke between me and Fred, I'm glad some others got some laughs out of it too

More to come I can assure you

Great stuff! Some of the greatest moments on EAB have nothing whatsover to do with Amiga.

Amigans from across the globe now share a common culture of sock puppets, Liberace, Gary Coleman, Erik Estrada and bizzarre images of Fred wearing disks in his afro and on his body.

Sorry about that. I've been avoiding Bobby ever since I first saw him on here. I don't know, some kind of inner child conflict. I want to be boyish and vulnerable again, and not have so much underarm and leg hair, but when I daydream like that I suddenly fear older men. :hoo

You guys are twisted! And yet none of these feelings arouse in you with Gary Coleman? Or is this considered overcompensating reverse discrimination?

I'm looking for the thread from around 2002, somebody had a rat in their basement and was trying to catch it with various traps. It read a bit like a tom and jerry cartoon, and a running score such as rat 2 - human 0 after various problems!

Can anybody here remember who wrote it, and if it still exists somewhere on the EAB? I've searched to no avail. A link would be even better!

Hmmm.. that was Off Topic (me being an off topic expert).
I forgot ..oh....yeah APFelon, who left the forum in a political dispute (some people feel the USA cannot be criticized), wrote it.

Lovely thread, I kept laughing my ass out reading it and translated to polish for my friends to enjoy.
Damn, I've prolly stored it somewhere but I doubt I'll find it after so many years.
Please, anybody has it?

I think that could have been Jim, but I am not 100% sure.
