PLANETEMU / TOSEC problem

Howdi FoLkZ !

I think that planetemu.net has the whole TOSEC AMIGA ROM SETS. But it is very frustrating to wait up to 300 ür more seconds to start another download.
Is there maybe a better place to got all the TOSEC stuff?

I think that it is not possible to make any downloads on tosec.org

Thanxx

Hi plasmatron!

I've got an FTP with some TOSEC stuff - send me a private message if you want an account.

True, because this web site is only for the actual (and sole) purpose of the project, and that is documentation

Big grin never fear! rattus: defender of newbies is here!

aww, leave him alone! you were all like this once!

plasmatron: it's useless trying to search for amiga stuff on web sites; planetemu's sets are way out of date and other sites force you to vote or direct you to search engines etc.

Therefore it is better to ask around for people who have FTPs which you can use, ask nicely on the EAB IRC channel as there are loads of nice people (CodyJarrett, among others) with FTP archives who will set you up with a private account no problem. Just be sure to obey their rules of use and leech away!

oh, and NEVER call amiga games "ROMs", as they are "ADFs"; disk images, not cartridge images

*edit* thankyou Mr Creosote

We were never this newb

Yes, I can remember the newness of asking these questions, but you sometimes have to lurk for a bit to get an idea of what is appropriate to ask and what terminology to use

Roll eyes (sarcastic)

I can understand that people call ADF ROMS because some of the tosec sets are actually ROMS.

But romZ.... damn what a lame spelling.... *sorry*
