Strange Prefs (non) behaviour.

Hope someone can help me with this...

I decided to reinstall 3.9 on WinUae ready to transfer to my A1200. After many trials and tribulations (Amidock causing ramlib crashes etc, not ticking the uaescsi box!) I finally got it installed on a fresh partition.

All looks fine, but none of the prefs work, the icons are there (and Dopus says the files are too). Same goes for the actual CD and the emergency disk.
...I know the emergency disk prefs used to work, 'cos I switched colour and resolution.

Strangely, I have a backup 3.1 partition, that one works fine!

Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like the write protection is still set on the files from the CD.

Can you think of an easy fix?

Did you use uaescsi.device CD mode, not "CD mounted as a harddrive"?

Hi,
Yeah, I used uaescsi.device (once I found the tick box) I followed Thomas's guide. I must be doing something seriously wrong, I installed it on my A4000T a few years ago, and that's fine.
Found A HDF that works off P2P, but it's in french with loads of other crap installed. It's prefs work fine...unless I boot from my HDF file.
