Request - Music for New Dizzy Clone Game
Hi - I am in the process of finishing a Dizzy Clone game, called Dylan the Spaceman - to get the game to run on an Amiga 500 with 1 meg, I need to reduce the size of my current music file.
Therefore, I was wondering if anyone had created a music mod file no bigger than 30kb which they would be happy to be included in the game. Below is a screenshot of the current game to give you an idea of whether your tune would fit the style. Also happy for individuals to create a new piece of music too. Thanks in advance. |

I've only just seen this. A good tune in only 30kB? This could be an interesting challenge!

Yes, certainly a challenge beyond me, the alternative challenge is to either locate the 5th Dimenson licenware disk which will allow you to convert large mod files to the particular mus file system used by the reality game engine or remove the limit on the available demo version - see this thread - http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=76474

no, 32k in mod format, uncompressed; however now i found out why: since am using as a base an old chiptune i did not removed the old patterms so reusing it i should be able to keep in the requirements; if given 40k however i could reach up to more than 5 minutes of song

Somone on my Amigapd facebook page kindly wrote a converter programme for Mod to Mus - so the limit of the music file can be higher - ideally if it can stay within 40K this means the game will work on a stock Amiga 500 - any bigger and then it is Amiga 600 - 1200 only
