I just went to join but the site wants my DOB. So its either a false DOB or do not join. I don't mind ticking "I am over 18" but DOB for a tracker?!?

Just do what everyone else does, have a parent register and log on... (rofl)

uTorrent setup done.
Account done and confirmed.

But trying to setup a torrent I get this:

There seems to be an error in your torrent. The parser did not accept it.

I'm all new to this, both the Amiga and torrents. Tho' I had an A500 some 20+ yrs ago.

Complete? Just browse it and see what's available. The FTP surely has more files.

*shrugs* No idea. To me it seams fairly redundant to have both the FTP and the torrent tracker, which is probably why the tracker isn't that well used.

If the tracker would be more lively you could get files faster than from the FTP. One could also argue that it's more convenient to use a torrent. Best reason is : Why not?

Oh i agree completly with this. If anything i fail to see the benefit with a redundant system. Both torrents, and FTP's has their advantages, but especially the tracker suffers from low use as the FTP doesn't require you to "return the favor" so to speak.

Does the FTP support Resume ?

As, if paused, the ftp client just goes back (possibly just checking, but I doubt it), as it looks like though its networking info, theres still data coming in.

I paused at 3.5Gig downloaded last nigh, then upon resuming it this morning, took me back to 1MB.

True .. That... But this COULD, in theory be solved couldn't it ?

2 options

(a before downloading via FTP, you MUST register and upload to tracker...

or

b) must Upload via FTP, first before you can download.

Why make it more complicated than it needs to be? There's a FTP and there's a tracker. Just use it.

That's why you should use edit instead of making double posts...
Anyway, the FTP supports resume.

The Tracker seams to have HTTP Error 406 on active torrents, don't know if anyone can fix this. I have seen it 15-09-2013 and this thread is outdated a bit and it looks no one use the tracker.

I just joined, and looking forward to see what other people have uploaded.

As my first upload, am I allowed to upload WHDLoad versions of all the Team 17 games in one torrent?
