Happy Ebay at 1 USD : A3640 Rev 3.1 for Amiga 4000 running at 32 Mhz !!!

I have created an auction which starts at 1 US dollar for a A3640 Rev 3.1 turboboard from my Amiga 4000 running at 32 Mhz and not at the standard 25 Mhz ! THIS is the link ... the card has been through a 5 hours 100 % processorload and works like a charm !!! I still have got an X-Calibur that can provide an A3640 with maximum 128 Mb but there is no way I´m gonna sell that piece

My other auctions that will end in a few days are :

Compact Flash pcmcia adapter ...
A3630 with 68030 on 25 Mhz and a 68882 co-processor on 40 Mhz ...
Squirrel pcmcia scsi controller for A1200 and A600 ...
Compaq Hardware Wireless Access Point WL400 ... meant to use it as a wireless router with my A1200 with a US Robotics Wireless Lan card but never got to it ...

Hi Effy,
you should consider useing smaller picture sizes. Takes ages to download and view your pages.

alexh : I haven´t done the mod myself, had it done by someone who is specialized in electronics

About the size of the pictures, I know they are big and this makes it not so easy to read, but on the other hand I have always been upset by all those small vague pictures that you find on all those auctions. I prefer to see up close the things I want to buy and most of the times you can not magnify a picture because the quality is far too bad. So that´s why I prefer to use a more detailed quality and for an old 2 Megapixel camera the quality is pretty good I think, not ???

Why don't you put a link or links on your page to your 2 Megapixel pics?

Good question. The thing is that when I use Ebay editor to edit my text that they don´t allow links to click on. If I want links then I need to write my own html page and I can´t do that because I haven´t got any experience in that ...

Have you tried Turbo Lister? It's very easy to use and it's free. Look under Seller Tools on eBay. You can easily create links with it.

1:- Referring to the picture above, cut the track from R101 to pin 4 of the delay line. Disregard the numbers printed on the top of the delay line. Note that not all pins are there too, however, on the PCB you can count the vacant pads until you get to 4, which is connected to the delay line. Unfortunately, that pin is not visible in the picture above, however you can see R101, and the small patch as indicated, which is the cut.

2:- Using a short length of insulated wire, connect one end to the end of R101 that had been cut. The other end of the wire goes to pin 12 on the delay line. This is clearly visible in the picture.

3:- Carefully remove the original 50MHz oscillator. Take care not to damage the plated through holes. Note the pin 1 position, marked with a dot on the oscillator (see picture)

4:- Using a good quality 14 pin IC socket, remove all pins except for pins 1, 7, 8, 14. (only the ones in each corner of the socket should be remaining).

5:- Solder in the new socket, with the notch at the pin 1 end.

6:- add a fan to the 040 heatsink. Also ensure the A4000 case is well ventilated.

7:- Install the new oscillator. Note that the actual 040 frequency is half that quoted on the oscillator, ie, for a frequency of 33Mhz, you will need a 66Mhz oscillator.
If you don't want to do the delay line hack, you can omit steps 1 & 2. You will be limited to a maximum frequency of about 30MHz (60MHz oscillator).
