A500 Mini - A500 LED trigger

Hi all,

First time on the forum (I think - may have been registered in the past). Just coming back to my Amiga(s), fuelled by the interest in the A500 Mini.

Of course, still having Amiga hardware in various states of (dis)repair, it occurred to me to play around with the neat little piece of hardware and build it into an old A500 that I had, with a working keyboard.

Long story short, have built into the case and have the keyboard working using an interface from Retro32.

The last part of the project is to see if I can take the LED signals from the A500 mini, switch them through a couple of transistors will pull down resistors, and power the real A500 keyboard LEDs with a separate 5v source, triggered effectively by a 3.3v signal input.

I trialled this outside of the A500 mini, using a circuit similar to that posted in this forum at: https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=107709

Trial worked nicely as a trial, however, the A500 mini seems to have negative switched output to it's tiny surface mount LEDs.

The question is (sorry for the long preamble) - does anyone have a rudimentary solution to this?

Thanks.
