Airborne Ranger "Create a diversion" mission

Hi,

finally decided to give this one a try after some 20 years, but no, I'm still not able to finish this mission. Has anyone actually finished it in the Amiga version of Airborne Ranger?

It seems what ever I do the mission ends with "Mission not accompilshed" message. I've kept myself unseen until the buzzer sounds and reach the ladder at the top of the map once the timer hits 0. I've also destroyed several bunkers and killed all encountered enemies.

What's missing?

This is driving me nuts!

Create a diversion ****************** It's also a hard mission. You MUSTN'T rampage until you hear the signal TWO times (you will hear the second beep around 500 seconds left),only the M-16 is allowed. Once you hear the second beep, you can start to destroy bunkers, but foreplan how you will reach the X on the map. You will need an RPG-7, and one or two grenades. First, if you reach the barbed wire, open a passage, then let's deal with the turrets above. I advise you to leave some sprint energy, because you'll need it, especially when the X is near a Flame turret! Maneuver out their shots, try to approach them, then duck-aim-fire with RPG-7. It's highly recommended to destroy at least one of the guard turrets. Once you made it, open a passage to the X. This is the mission, when you can't recall early your aircraft. Hold your position on the X, and hunt down any interfering enemy soldiers.
