G-Rex4000D: any REAL speed difference between voodoo3 2000 and 3000 ???
I was just wondering....
the PCI voodoo3 2000 and 3000, only differ in the "gpu" clock, one is 143mhz and the other 166mhz. the amiga surely is not able to use the full voodoo3 potential due to various bottlenecks (a voodoo3 playing quake2 on a 200mhz pentium is EXCELLENT, the voodoo3 can merely play quake1 on a 233mhz ppc, and not always full framerate) so I am really wondering: is there any point in having the 3000 model on the amiga? or just produces more heat? anyone actually test the two cards??? because I am thinking of having a 2000 on my g-rex4000D system, due to heat reasons... I wonder, is anyone else here on EAB (except DJBASE and Amigaz) actually have a g-rex4000 ????

Imma using a z4 PCI
 )i gots me one of them PCI add-on for my z4/winner board! eh?.... one gpu ?..... I was under the impression that the card distributes the workload and the main cpu just lumps the stuf to it.... I didn`t realise the software would have that controll..... |

I have an A4000T and therefor the GRex4000D wouldn't fit.
 Also I can't watch PlanetPotion with GRex.

Don't like this version because of its mounting. But I am happy with my CVPPC and my Zorro cards now.
