4000D Wont Load Workbench.

Hi,

I've just changed the KS roms in my Rev.D board (3.0 to 3.1)and installed a brand new Indivision.

When I try to loadwb from floppy (rebuilding CF Card) its get as far as the title bar and then nothing. Wont load icons or anything - Its not crashed as the mouse works fine and I can pull down the screen but there's nothing there.

The roms and Indivision are both from AmigaKit - I've had other 3.1 roms before in rev.B boards and never seen this issue and the Indivision output to the monitor is awesome by the way! (Ilyama 27")

Anybody have any ideas?

It was fine before I put the roms in - I might just put back the originals and remove the Indivision to test but I thought I'd ask first.

Thanks

Would I have to put that on all workbench disks that I want to boot?

I've put two other sets in 4000d's and I've not had this issue. They've always booted from anything I've put in.

Would it be that these Roms are older versions?

Surely you shouldn't have to copy this library to all workbench bootable disks.

I'm not quite sure of this process, brain cells are dying since tha last time I played with any big box amigas (nothing since the mid 90's and I've been to bed since then !)

Is the version of the ROM:s 40.68 or 40.70? Unplug all IDE units, wait two minutes and you should have the answer on your screen.

Send a message via MSN to FOL
He has obviously bought 40.70 roms which are for the A4000T, they are missing the workbench.library to make room for the scsi driver which was added along side the ide scsi driver.

You have to add the workbench.library to the libs folder of the disk or HDD.
You need the A4000T version of workbench disks.

Thanks all.
I've put the 3.0 roms back in for the time being and I'll get the correct ones at some point.
Or, heh, who knows, I might get a 4000T some day.
Thanks all for your advice.
