Amiga 600 exp memory

Hi All,

my name is luca, i live in italy, excuse for my poor english.

I have a simple question, i have the amiga 600 with 2 external box (hdd 1gb and dvd), the amiga have 1mb of memory, i would like to expand the memory, but in italy che expansion a602 or a601 is rare, i reading is to possible expanding the memory with pcmcia (i know is very slow), i found this:

16MB Flash Memory PCMCIA ATA Card
Intel Series 2+
Cisco System
16MB Type I PCMCIA Flash Card

or Pcmcia CF adapter type I sandisk Sandisk Adattatore PCMCI per CF
cod 3100200

It's possible or not?

no it's not possible. flash memory doesn't work. must be SRAM (Static) max 4 mb.

@lukezab: there is a guide in this very forum teaching how piggyback solder more 1Mb chip RAM directly onto the motherboard of A600 who worth a peek. Also a Russian guy (LordV) build a 4-5.5-8Mb internal fast RAM expansion for the A600, very inexpensive.

Do a search!
