With regards to gamepads, any standard Atari-style controller will work. The A1200 supports CD32 controllers, so the CD32 gamepad and compatibles will all work fine. There were 3rd party gamepads made for the Amiga, and you can use Sega Mastersystem controllers too. Megadrive controllers can be used but they're not fully supported and should really be used with an adaptor. Finally, there are adaptors available that let you use a standard PC USB controller with the Amiga.
External drives, there are a couple of SCSI adaptors that connect via the PCMCIA slot that let you use external CD-ROM drives, and also some accelerators provide a SCSI connection for external drives. USB drives are an option as well but involves adding an expensive card internally. |
