SWOS v1.52 (v2) 96-97 2 Disk version
Im looking for the latest Amiga version of Sensible Word Of Soccer... Ive figured out from WHDLOAD that SWOS v1.52 is probably the latest one...

Nope.
It exists an unofficial patch for year 97/98, but I haven't found yet. Don't know about the number release. The main program could be the same of year 95/96, the last official release (I think, don't kick me if I said something completely wrong!  )

I also am not sure if the latest official release of the game has main program code changed or not. But SWOS 96 Euro suffers slowdowns on 68040, which is one of the realsons why Im looking for the latest version of SWOS...
Btw, I have the unoffincial 97/98 update, but that only refers to data and gfx files, not to the program code... |

Nope, the SWOS 96 Euro is NOT the latest official release... Ive just got SWOS 96/97 v1.52, but I dont know if it is the latest version, have to check it up...
Look at: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...highlight=swos to see what version of SWOS there are, and how to check what exactly you do have. I will upload the SWOS 97/98 to the zone for you

Sorry. As i said, I don't know much about the number releases.
I guessed 96/97 was another "hack" made by some fan. However, this time I can assure at 100% this IS the latest official release because it exist only a 98 year patch, and you have mentioned only what was the last version... sorry!  BTW: Thanks for the patch! |

Khmm SWOS 96/97 v1.52 , was the last official release of the game... on the contrary SWOS 97/98 is an unofficial update. (as far I know)

Decode the SWOS file on disk 1 and see what version it is, if it's an unofficial update the version should match that of an older one (Probs 96/97).
If you are not sure u/l the SWOS file to the zone and I'll check it (Or someone else will!)

As far I understand the wolf correctly, its the matter which version of SWOS was the last one officially released by Sensible Software for Amiga. And IMHO its SWOS v1.52 (a subversion of SWOS 96/97)...
