Problem with 1230-MK3/40mhz Turbo Card
Hey guys
Hope you can help. I acquired a Turbo 1230 card for my A1200 at the weekend, won it at Datastorm (whoop!). However I've just plugged her in and at first everything seemed happy. However, after a couple of minutes, everything freezes. No reset can save it, you just have to power down. It's came with a 16meg ram module but regardless of wether it's plugged in or not, it still freezes up. I'm running a Compact Flash IDE drive, but wouldn't have thought that would be causing an issue. I haven't even tried it with my PCMCIA Compact Flash Reader yet. Any ideas anyone? |

Problem solved thanks to Lavaburn. I had an old Revision 1D motherboard from my old Amiga which works perfect with the card. Also the composite video output is better!!
For reference the other was a Rev 2B! Rubbish!!! |

d0pefish aka. lavaburn here
Come to think of it, wasn't the 2B the one from Amiga Technologies? Either way, there were a lot of problems surrounding the 1D4 and 2B to do with the timing changes. It was all investigated further with the release of the ACA1230: Classic timing fix: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...postcount=1359 Further timing fixes from Jens Schoenfeld: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...postcount=2065 More info and pictures from Stedy: http://www.ianstedman.co.uk/Amiga/am..._mobo_fix.html Good to hear the 1D board is behaving with it Enjoy your new 030! |

So h0ffman was the buddy coming over to solve a problem? Haha!
And with that card, no less! How about sending the 2B motherboard to the Focus team? Haha! Now that you mention board revisions, I am unsure of what I have now. Maybe that is what is giving me so many Line 1111 errors on WHDLoad??? |

Ahh no mate I helped our h0ff via Facebook after I spotted this post.
It was someone else going to come over to mine tonight but there was a change of plan. Ahh, WHDLoad and mysterious Line errors. I think everyone gets those with certain slaves on certain configs at some point; I do. I need to go through them, update my WHDload executable, and check my slave versions at some point, I'm too lazy to try and fix them :P |

I have all the latest slaves and am still getting them, it's really annoying. I gotta check, I might be having a timing problem.
But today I received a CD32 and gaming with it is just SO much better!! I think I will stick to it for gaming and keep my other Amigas just for tracking and pixelling I just wish SX-32 modules weren't so damn rare and expensive, I'd gladly have a CD22 as my main machine, it's great specially if you have to move it (to a demoparty for example)! |

Seems the 1D also has this problem, when I get a chance I'll desolder the two components to fix it.
Although I managed to snap off the frikin ESC key in the process of switching boards!!! Ghey! |
