What's not working? Have you got the required kickstart files? |

How do i add WHDload the wb install on winuae assuming that i have got the wb install pack to work? thanks |

I do need to update those instructions, as I replaced the "A4000 power config" with "Run Me First then delete" and "Run Me Second then delete" configs.
However the install procedure is the same. Unpack the file, drop a kickstart 3.0 or 3.1 file into the roms folder and rename it "kick3.rom". Start WinUAE, select "Paths" from the left hand menu and click "Reset to defaults" and "Rescan ROMS". Check the paths for various WinUAE folders are correctly pointing to the WinUAE ClassicWB folder and double click the configs mentioned above (Run Me First, Run Me second) |

ok thanks,i also noticed that the green alien WB pack config says use kickstart 2.0,this is wrong and it wont work, you need to use kickstart 2.04 for it to work.Took me hrs to realise this.
Right i now have all the WHDload packs, can somebody link me to a tutorial or explain how to install these packs please? This is the problem im getting.... When i follow these instructions http://guide.abime.net/wb3.1/chap10.htm Last edited by Help; 10 June 2012 at 16:25. |

temporaraly rename one of your partitions to programs.
or assign programs to a drawer on a partition on your drive. |

C:\Program Files (x86)\WinUAE\hard disks\programs What do i need to type? Thanks oh yeah how do i tranfer files from Dopus from my hardrive on my pc do i need to make a hardrive and point it at my pc hardrive like i have done here in this picture?(WHD games)? ok.
run dopus first, and try to think as though you where using a real amiga not doing anything on the pc side.this part is important.and remember your partition names. then find on your drive the archive in the left window in dopus. then click in the right window and click on the drive where you want the archive to de-compress to using the buttons on the bottom left of the screen.(by default its set to ram) then go back to the left window and highlight the archive,it should be in black at this point.(you just left click it once) then click on a button marked "arc ext"and you should see a window come up with the archive unarchiving into the drive or drawer you chose in the right window.tadaa job done. |

ive just read your edit.
to copy files across you dont really need dopus, its just drag and drop mate in workbench just like you would do it on a pc. but...if you use dopus just do what you did to unarchive ,but on the last step use the copy button as for the last question im not sure what you mean,if you mean have a drawer show on screen without opening a partition, then just make a drawer inside a partition then drag it to the screen and snapshot it.just like you would if it was most programme files. p.s ,dont forget to rename your drive back to what it was, just incase your startup sequence points to a drive that now dont exist. i have a 10 gig setup in winuae(i dont use it much as i have real amigas)it uses sfs filesystem.
for the most part you wont need a drive bigger than 4gig for all the whdload games. you setup a drive in winuae then partition it into segments, and have a 500mb partition for the boot and say a work partition then a games partition.(for the most part you would do it just like a real amiga) have you ever had a real amiga before?,it helps. |

Or what you can do is to install a Classic Workbench and later you can add any new directory (F12...Hardrives...Add directory or archive) you want. You can select any of your pc. Then press reset. Later if you like it you can press again F12, configurations and save it all. Next time you want to use it you load the configuration. Last edited by Retrofan; 10 June 2012 at 21:21. |
