I will try it by booting without startup-sequence. I am using the one I got from eab file server.
Update_2.6_Games_WHDLoad It is the 2.1 version. I also have the 2.0 version but it also does not work. ftp://ftp:any@grandis.nu/Commodore_A..._v2.1_0851.lha I tried pressing escape before it crashed during intro and it did not crash and the game started but the music is not playing correctly. Now I will try running the game without loading startup-sequence (and updating the rom). Then I will try disabling caches. EDIT: Having a problem with the power connector of one of my Acard interface connected to the SSD. Will continue testing later. Last edited by ancalimon; 15 February 2017 at 00:25. |

I fixed one crash, but not that one! I could start the game and play. I hate when I cannot reproduce the bugs.
@ancalimon can you finally zone the version corresponding to the video which crashes? It seem to crash during the fake game start. Do you click on something particular or just let it roll? Last edited by jotd; 15 February 2017 at 15:26. |

I have booted without startup-sequence (original 3.1 rom)
configuration is A4000T, 66Mhz 060, 400Mhz 604e, CVisionPPC, 16mb onboard memory, 128mb CStormPPC memory, 256mb Zorro3 memory tried with nocache and the result is same. If I wait, the game crashes a few seconds after the music starts. The music plays wrong. If I press escape to exit the intro before crash and start game, the game does not crash but the music is wrong. I am going to zone the archive. EDIT: I tried the nocache nommu and the game no longer crashes. But The music seems wrong. It seems like it keeps changing instruments as if they are fighting for channels. EDIT2: The music is playing correctly. It was the cable Sorry. Conclusion: Disabling MMU fixes the problem with English version. NOCACHE tooltype has no effect. Of course disabling MMU fixes the issue, this is an access outside memory bounds. Tell me when it's in the zone.

zoned
It crashes a few seconds after music starts playing regardless of whether I skip the Lucas Arts logo or not. If I press escape before that crash, the game starts. Also the German 2.0 version does not have any problem. Last edited by ancalimon; 17 February 2017 at 00:42. |

I just realized a very weird thing about this game most probably not related to whdload at all. (I guess it probably also happens on Monkey Islan 2)
Game scrolls at 60fps when you walk to the left, but it starts skipping frames when you are walking to the right. [ Show youtube player ] |

Can't say I've ever noticed that issue in the disk versions of any LucasArts / LucasFilm games...

Lucas Arts adventures never scrolled 100% smooth on the Amiga. They usually runs faster with better CPUs but that's it.

I just saw the update and tested.
Game is running without the need for NOMMU or NOCACHE. It does not crash after music starts playing. Last edited by ancalimon; 20 February 2017 at 03:15. |

Take a look at the video I posted above. It scrolls perfectly smooth when Indy is walking from right to left (only on ntsc screen. pal scrolling is not very smooth)
