Beneath a Steel Sky CD32 crashing on WinUAE/CD32

Hi,

bought a copy of this game off eBay and started playing it on my CD32. It seems to crash constantly on the screen left of the first descended elevator (right after "One level down" code). This happens both on the real CD32 and WinUAE.

Now what's obscure is that I've finished the CD32 version before and I can't remember it had the same problem so I thought it was a faulty disc. I gave a go at the image version that is circulating the net and the results were the same.

I noticed that this topic had been discussed back in 2002 with no solution in the thread so I'm wondering if anyone has come up with one.

EDIT:

Well, I managed to figure the solution myself. The savegame code for that part some how corrupts the game so all I had to do was to start from a previous code and play thru that part.
