Any young blood here?
Are there any younger Amiga fans here, or are we all pushing mid to high 50's or higher? I got into the Amiga in my early 20's and am now 55 with a belly to match.

There have been some from time to time, but I don't think they have much of a reason to stick around for the long run.

I am 25, and I spend most of my time on my A500 and A600.

48 now but still keeping that old belly in check.
My son has an expanded CD32 with WHDLoad in his gameroom but since there is zero nostalgia involved his interest would only come through specific games that he likes. Maybe when he is older he’ll start paying more attention to the hardware but right now there is zero interest in specific hardware platforms. 20-ish old Amiga fans are a niche within a niche I guess. Would be nice if more of our kids would carrybit forward, but for them it will never be the same as it was for us. |

47 here.. Got an A500 when I was 14 and have had Amigas in some shape or form since.
Own an A4000 now that unfortunately doesn't get used that much, but I still follow the scene closely. |

Maybe today's kids will feel pangs of nostalgia harking back to the A500 Mini in 20 years' time. Hmm.

Hm dunno, it is a glorified Raspberry Pi running Amiberry in the end And it is not flawless, the list of games I can't properly play on it keeps growing for varying reasons, framerate problems being the most notable.

I suppose there are some younger users but they most likely hang out on assorted discords/reddits/etc. Forums are an antiquated form of social media in 2022.
Anyway, my development got arrested circa 2000 and so for me everybody in this hobby is perpetually ~20 years old |

It's not even as if the A500 Mini offers something unique to people experiencing the Amiga back catalogue for the first time. No doubt on-trend gamers will have seen retro-styled games on the latest consoles or Steam. If that appeals they already have the means to enjoy them. |

Still barely holding on to the 3-handle!
Where I grew up, probably not many Amiga enthusiasts were minted after the mid 90ies, and even then it would be younger kids getting one handed down (with hundreds of pirated games). I'd imagine anyone younger than 30 would only be interested if they were into retrocomputing in general or had fond memories of spending time with an Amiga zealot |
