That was removed at the same time as I removed the speed limit on the anonymous account. There is no limits on registered accounts now.
The only limit that remains is a limiter on the anonymous user ("ftp"). If you download to much, you'll get banned for a selected time. This is not something normal users will ever notice though.

You forgot the single biggest donation to the FTP when I needed to replace the hard drives =) There is a reason you are still an admin on the FTP (only one except me) and can host your pack on it.

I am really not getting into this again. You are telling half stories, leaving things out and generally moulding the entire debacle to fit your ego!


I did not ban you because it was cool.. I don't like banning anyone and will always seek to discuss with members first. We had many discussions, you thinbk that becasue you did this for eab, and you did that for eab that you get a free pass to be a dick!! Absofuckinglutely not. You are no better than any other member, and just like me and any other member you have to abide by the rules, many rules you implemented I might add.



If you want to fuck EAB you can enjoy your permanent ban. Yes you can visit as a guest, but you're not welcome here..


Secondly. This thread is locked. You have spread copies of games that are still for sale as part of this pack.


Thirdly. RCK didn't remove your ban because he knows what happened. He saw the abuse you sent to my PERSONAL number. You was banned for repeatedly stiurring arguments and prodding members you didn't like or didn't agree with. You have a go at the coffin OS for distributing copyright stuff and yet you do it yourself with your packs!


DAMIEND - I've changed my personal number so you can't send me further abuse. I explained in detail why you was banned. The Global Moderators discussed at length your banning and the reasons why.



Here is a summary as to why you was banned:


Attacking members of the forum in various posts, and inciting arguments.
I closed a thread where you and grond were arguing, you send me a message via whatsapp asking if I can reopen the thread so you can have the last word. I declined so you created a new thread specifically to attack grond, did I ban you for this? I did not. You basically ignored me as a friend, and totally disrespected me. You then start an argument with mcgeezer because he didn't write the game you wanted and then left you out of the Turbo Sprint credits. mcgeezer sent me screenshots of the messages you traded via text message. You and mcgeezer got into a public argument on eab. I banned you and then explained why via whatsapp. The ban was short if I remember (2 weeks maybe). After being banned you send further abusive messages via text to mcgeezer. You also, via whatsapp decided to throw abuse at me. Call me names and so on. Obviously by this point there were discussions in the private chat between myself and other mods. I shared screenshots of the abuse and we decided to lengthen your ban to 6 months. The abuse continued. You then attempt to make numerous duplicate accounts. These are all against EAB forum rules, and is something you was extremely aggressive with moderating. We had (as moderators) discussed a lifetime ban at the time, but figured that we would let your ban expire and await your return, to see what attitude you would have. You haven't dissapointed. A few weeks ago I received whatsapp messages off you. Again going on about not caring about EAB, you not wanting or needing to be here, and about plowing your time into bitcoin or whatever and then proceeding to give me more shit over your ban.


I am done with this Damien. You are a narcissist and when someone disagrees with you, you attack them verbally, things have to be your way. You did a fab job of moderating EAB, and you did it for a long time without support and nobody can take that away from you. You really did do an amazing job. You also engaged too personally with members and you threatened bans for anyone who didn't agree with you though.

as for graeme, what he puts in his game is his choice, what he posts on other forums is his choice. What he says to you personally is his choice. he isn't going to bite though. Yet again you are trying to poke members for a reaction to prove you're right.

Oh .. As for your last statement... I am leaving this post, I am quoting this post becasue you are the one who purged, you are the one who deleted shit.. I will happily leave your post where it is.

I gave over 15 years of my life dedicated to this site... and for what exactly???

After all I've done for the Amiga community, and more specifically EAB (been a GMod twice moderating on separate occasions, which is an extremely hard job), BippyM thinks it's cool to ban me for 7 months (without warning), for a continued argument with mcgeezer; where he accused me of lying about what he said to me "in person" when we met for drinks in London for the second time (which I posted a picture of incidentally), related to porting the next game of my choice, after running the "EAB Competition" by myself, donating 90% of the prize money solely (check the thread if you think I'm bullshitting); and also giving him funds behind the scenes to purchase an A1200 for his use in game development...

I remember exactly how the conversion went i.e:

Graeme: "Thank you so much for taking care of the competition, I'm so happy that I won. You can choose the next game that I port."

Damien: "No problem my friend, you so deserve it. I really love Shinobi in the Arcades... and the Amiga port sucks balls."

Graeme; "Yeah, but I have no experience with that game and it's not one that I've really ever played... I was thinking Wonderboy next."

Damien: "Ok, that would be great too; but if you are giving me the choice; then Shinobi please."

Yeah, Graeme won't admit that in public; just like he won't admit that he told me the next game he ports is my choice after everything I did... doesn't change that fact that it's 100% true though; and yet he says that apparently I'm a liar...

As for EAB moderation... none of them did sweet f%^k all when I was there. I asked for help numerous times as I was doing 14 hour days by myself... and now EAB is in shambles since I left... threads all over the place that need renaming / merging etc... great example, the Amiga 1942 conversion where the GameDev asked for it to be moved numerous times from the "Coders.General" section, but fell on deaf ears due to lack of moderation; despite there being 6+ current GMods; apparently "active"

...and I get demoted by RCK as he had 10+ complaints related to yet another always toxic "Vampire" thread, where fools like grond and mai (who claim they are innocent), threatened EAB

I know for a fact that at least 20+ people e-mailed RCK to say that my banning was unfair. What happened? Yeah nothing... not even a polite reply from RCK...

So there you go guys. The truth needs to be heard, and out in public... anytime anybody posts a thread about me and the injustice that occurred; it gets lock / deleted by the current moderation team

It is poor form to post in a closed thread, but needs must.

Banning DamienD was a team decision.

I had left the forum when DamienD was at his best, when I came back and became a GM, DamienD was not the person that built up this amazing reputation. He was going from argument to argument, and when there wasn't one, he would start one and then call for back up, which as I was new I would foolishly give him.

In my first few weeks he caused more moderating work than any other user.

He'd clearly had enough, but loved the adulation he was getting from the fans of his packs. Hence why he "quit" numerous times only to never see this through once he had enough people boosting his ego. I doubt even the most ardent fan of his packs, could argue about DamienD's general behaviour over his last couple of years here.

Regarding the moderation of this forum, as a team we have been instructed to not overly moderate the forum. People posting in the wrong forum is hardly the worst crime in the world.

All of us have busy personal lives, and cannot devote the kind of time to this as DamienD did.

DamienD choose to moderate the forum by looking at every post, he was never told to. He was never told to spend all day here. This was his choice and moaning about it really just indicates he knows he made the wrong life choice.

I hope he finds peace within himself, I bear him no ill will. But time for everyone to move on.

If you cannot cope with EAB without DamienD being here, then please let us know, bans don't have to be earned, you can request them, or just log out and remember what you consider to be the "good times"
