missing file(s) from WB 2.1

I need the file PC0 to access IBM disks. There may be other files missing also, but i probably will not find out till i get PC0.

Does anyone know where i can download the file from, or maybe an email attachment?

The guy i got WB2.1 and the rom from must have deleated the files for some reason, or is PC0 on a diferent disk from workbench?

It should be in the extras disk. in storage/dosdrivers.

Posting it in ADF zone may not be right and I don't know your e mail address. The e-mail function of the board does not have attachment support does it?

Since he has kickstart 2.0, os3.0 version of pc0 may not work for him. I just checked my extras2.1 and found pc0 in storage/dosdrivers.

I did not know Workbench 2 had an extras disk.

Mine, which came with my Commodore Amiga 600 HD, are 2.05 so that could be why my set does not have the extras disk.

Although, I had one of the batch of A600s which had the Install disk missing and I had to make a pirate copy to reinstall. This could be another reason why my set does not include an extras disk.

Anyway as I said in the other thread I used messydos, but using a NULL-MODEM cable is recommended but I have not tested one yet. Akira will be able to tell you more.

Reaaaally strange. I've got Wiorkbench 2.05 and it came with all the disks. Though, afaik, normal A600 machines did not came with 2.05, only 600Hds . I could be well wrong though.

2.0 and 2.05 do not has the PC0 stuff beacuse it doesnt include CrossDOS. this util appeared only in 3.0 and 2.1

Anyway, read the announcement for more. If you cannot find the mountfile I'll type it up here in some minutes.

My memory is bad. I do have an extras disk, see screen dump of WB2.0 which looks the same as 2.5 extras disk. I got confused with the storage disk witch is part of the WB3 set for some reason. Looking at my disks labels I have the Workbench 2.05, fonts 2.05, Extras 2.05 and a disk copy of the missing install disk, which is version 2.1 and this disk should be 2.05. (That’s why I had a few problems reinstalling my A600HD and it seemed to install a lot easier/different though the emulated Winuae HD as I dloaded the adf from the Internet instead of adfing my own disks)

So I now know from Akira that there are 3 versions of Workbench 2 which also confused me.

I hope the above makes sence as I have lost myself again. I better not type anymore.

Sorry for all the trouble, the file was on my Extra disk

Thanks for your patience guys; I am rather clueless when it comes to Amiga but I am learning quicker than I had first thought I would.

AmigaOS is the best OS I have ever used, you'll be up and running faster than you can say 'Bill Gates sucks dick'!
