For a moment there I thought you was talking about the popular Macromedia web product of the same title...

I remember this game..
Its got some fancy vertical shifting effect
when it goes wrong it just displays graphics one block wide down the middle of the screen doesnt it? Thats what used to happen on my real amiga about 10 years ago. |

Shockwave question
Can anyone tell me more about this game? -I cannot play any ADF on the PC now. Who published this game and is it a 3D-shmup?
The reason is I remember a screenshot of a game called Shockwaves in July 1990 issue of magazine The Games Machine. I also have a game called Shockwave Assault on PC. It is programmed in 1995 by Electronic Arts, features crap FMV intermission sequences and has you shooting aliens in a 3D-kind of way. The graphics look exactly like the screenshot in the magazine. |

Big-Byte .... my avatar is just a logo "The Company - founded in 1991" . I think this fits more into a board than the next Bart Simpson GfX ... If somebody of the board keepers has a problem with a logo as avatar, i will asap replace it.

There's not a problem, it's just illegible. I just couldnt figure out what it was.
If you find a logo that looks better at such a small size, great |

Shockwave (Amiga) = Shockwave Assault (PC)?
Cody,
I have watched the attached ingame picture of Amiga Shockwave and it looks extremely remiscent to Shockwave Assault for PC. In fact, I think the game is converted to PC! I have searched for a screenshot of Shockwave Assault on the Net but with no luck. This is all the information I got: Shockwave Assault is a shoddy 1995 PC conversion by Electronic Arts of the 3DO original. It has aliens invading the earth and in 15 missions you, as the only person on earth who can fly a plane, must shoot them down. The game features many great FMV-sequences but has also some irritating ingame-speech. If someone else has played Assault please let me know. |

Yes, that could be the one.
Yes, that could possibly be Shockwave Assault. The interior of the plane/ spaceship looks very familiar. I think the picture is taken from a later stage. I have made it only to stage four or five which all take place on earth.
