GoldEd?

Hi all,

I just recently got an Amiga and would like to give it a spin again. I have installed my original Sas C compiler v. 6.51 but I recall that, back in the day, I used some other editor than Sas editor to write code.

I think the application was shareware and probably looked a lot like the screenshots of GoldEd I have seen. I remember liking it a lot even though it was bit sluggish in my setup. I probably have lost the license file that I bought some twenty years ago.

So I basically have two questions: 1. can I get a copy of GoldEd from somewhere (I read that it was released for free at some point)? and 2. are the original authors still around in case I would like to ask a copy of my age old license file (I bet they do not have the sales logs from 90's anymore)?

I have OS 3.0 so CubicIDE does not seem to work in it. So, I'd need some older version of GoldEd. Does anyone know what was the last version that worked on OS 3.0?

I do have a pile of old disks around, but all of them are using diskspare.device that I still do not have installed in my current system (I am having some serial cable issues). It may be that I actually backed up at least the license file. Maybe.

Try "classic" MicroGoldEd from the same website:
