good news

i'm not sure with the icon borders, maybe this can help:
IconLib_46.4/c/IconFramesOFF
IconLib_46.4/c/IconFramesON

Frames == borders?

from the iconlib readme
Quote:
Systems with workbench.library v44+ can now enable the frames
for old planar icons only with PlanarFrames1/2/3. AllFramesOff
replaces the older command IconFramesOff (delete that please).
The number at the end of PlanarFrames1-3 sets the frame size.
so maybe IconLib_46.4/c/PlanarFrames1-3 ?!

Good that you've found a solution! An Aminet search with better search terms might've saved you some trouble, though:

http://aminet.net/search?query=copy+progress

SCopy V1.08 probably would've done the job nicely too. Anyway, it's always good to have choice.......

SCopy is in util/cli, you know what that means.

Hmmm, Aminet must have a bug then.....it lists it as being in util/sys in the search results, but in util/cli in the archive description. The docs confirm that it is, indeed, a cli util.

No matter, with a bit of digging ready-made alternatives like Filemaster and Filer can still be found on Aminet. Haven't had Filemaster installed for some years, but I can vouch for Filer as being a very good lightweight file manager that contains a progress bar for copy, delete, move, compare etc. among other nice features and functions.
