Thanks! I'll await Sandro's fix for IBrowse, just so I have a browser if I need it, and to show it can be done with pictures. It's been my end goal in getting the Plipbox.

As for FTP, can DOpus do it? If not what client is considered best? A link would be lovely as there are often many versions to wade through.

Cheers!

I was quite partial to AmiFTP back in the day. AmFTP and AmiTradeCenter are a bit too heavy for an A500.

amftp is not too heavy it uses the most simple mui interface
the best ftp program for the Amiga is yet Dopus 5 by far
amftp and amitrade center don't work in some ftp sites and they are slow

For just browsing Aminet try Aweb, it worked very fast with no problems for me on 68030.
There's a 68000 version on aminet, try that.

Unfortunately IBrowse 1.0 and 1.02 are both 68020+.

If anyone has a link to a NON-demo version of AWeb for 68000, I'd love it.

Simplified answer for a simpified thread:

I found the best solution was to install the ubiquitous demo of AWeb32 then copy the files from this over it to patch this later version for 68k and remove the demo time limits: http://goo.gl/OKEuVZ

Obviously big pages are slow (it's just a proof of concept) but ultimately it works! Images too! Amazing really what my little A500+ can do lately:

I have ibrowse lot of o.x versions to test if works on the 68000

also there is another browser some amiga members forgotten, is called Voyager, I'm sure it can work on the 68000 I remember I have voyager and 1.x 2 and 3 etc
for Aweb I have 1.5 and 1.x versions, not sure if I have 3.0 full

tell me why you want

Thanks, but as per my post above yours I have found the solution and am happy with it!

As for "why", because I can! IOW I just wanted to see that modern webpages could be loaded on a 30 year old computer, including images, and that goal has been achieved.
