Rox Box Dialer

Yes Disque, I know I know. But I do use C-Dial, or ADW, or UAE instead of this program depending on the timing of the country and the freqs..

But any way does any one have this tool ?!?!.

I have versions 5.72, 6.68, 6.70 (Destructive Jungle UK hack).

But I was wondering if any one knew the keys to activate the hidden part ?!?.

ie you do Ctrl-left shift-left alt-left alt. To activate the tool.
There seems to be another part of the tool where you can enter in custom freqs and custom timings.

I know how to use a HEX editor to edit the timings of the dial speed/delay and frequency length/delay. But Can not edit the Frequencies to be played.

Also V5.72 seems to have real time R2 support by using a sampler plugged into the Par: port, any one know how to activate it ?!?!

I have tried resourcing the code (comes out to 170k) and I have been slowly going through it now and then, here and there and slowly piecing it back, but still havn't gotten very far.

So some help would be good thanks.

If you upload the version you have to the zone I will try and have a look at disassembling and working out the secret keypress if you want. No promises, but it will be a interesting distraction for me.

Yeah they still work. But it is risky because you will get busted real easily.

But still lots of fun dialing world wide as a operator =]

*Bump*.

Any more help with this please, just uploaded some partly ReSourced Rox Box code to the zone, if any one here can help me activate the hidden part would be nice. cheers.

Either Run executable and activate by pressing Left Ctrl, Left Shift, Left Alt, Left Alt

Or run by using "LaMe" as the argument. Has to be case sensitive. cheers

---RoxBox Users---

Load Roxbox from shell or startup-sequence and, when disk access has ended,
tap these keys in order, but seperately:

CTRL, Left-Shift, Left-Alt, Left-Alt

RoxBox will pop up in the top-left. Click on 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or 9 to
bring a dialling-directory up. Press CTRL-E to edit an entry then click
on an empty position. Enter Compuserve in the 'Calling:' field and press
return.
Then enter !A-027-93-3233-C in the 'Phone #:' field. Hit return
again. It should say 'Status: Editing Complete.' Now press CTRL-S to
save your dialling directory. You now have a Compuserve entry in your
RoxBox phonebook which has just been saved to disk.

* When dialling with RoxBox, ensure you're in 'BoxFromUK' mode by choosing
* it from the pull-down menu or pressing Right-Amiga and 'A' together.

Note: The break tone RoxBox generates is fine for boxing Venezuela..

---End of aMiGa blurb---
Edit: i guess within 4 years you already found this. sorry.

i've already contacted redblade through pm - but i am also in search of the various hacking/phreaking apps for the amiga (as well as other 8/16 bit machines).. if anyone has any links for archives of this sort of thing i would appreciate it.

i am building a be-all end-all archive for this type of application that will cover not just the amiga but the c64/128, atari8/st, apple2, etc.. really everything EXCEPT ibmpc/mac/linux... the archive is just for nostalgia more than getting any use out of the programs - but from nosing around on forums like this its plain to see that others are interested as well.
