Free : Parallel port External optical drive

Datawise CD PRO 15AR250DW013911. Parallel port to IDE bridge.

Currently has a 32 speed CD-ROM fitted. Includes parallel port cable. Needs a kettle lead for power. I could supply one if absolutely necessary.

Tested working under Win9x. Drivers available on the net, again I could supply on floppy disk if absolutely necessary.

I do not think that it can be made to work with the Amiga but it is perfect for old laptops before they had integrated CD-ROM's.

It is very heavy because it has the power supply built in. So that is why I am asking for £7.06 in stamps.

If wants it by tomorrow it goes to the electronics pile at the local dump.

@alexh

if no one wants it as a whole unit, I would be interested in the chassis and power supply (not the rom or par cable)

would that make a difference in postage?

I dunno. Not sure how to take it apart. I could try.

If I can get it down to 2kg it would only be £4.41 not £7.06

I've not sent the other Parcel (The DVD-ROM CDRW combo + Kickstart ROM) so I guess I could combine the two for £9.58, maybe £7.06 at a push, it is about 4.2Kg.

You posted me the Stamps for the other kit already?

Let me know what you want to do soon so that I am not stuck with it.

Tell you what, seeing as how you sent me those RAMs for my XBOX all you need is £7.06 of stamps for the two and if it is any more I'll cover it.

So you want it?

I'm off work sick with an eye infection preventing me from using the computer for any length of time. I should be back in next week.

Sure, but send stamps not cash.
