OLD Skool Sceners Interested in Uk "Gathering"

Hello peeps

I been chatting to MajicMushroom about this for a while, and if enough people are interested we will be holding a old Skoool amiga Reunion in the UK.

I Dont know how difficult it is to get hold of some of the older people as a lot
have left the computer scene or gone into it professionally and dont bother
with the scene anymore.

But anyone interested and up for a drink / laugh and some good old retro timez
you can either contact me or MM through here

All peeps are welcome, but OLD skool WANTED ! :P

Hey,

I run a forum with a few guys called Oldskooluk and it's mainly aimed at Amiga scene / retro chat, aswell as loadsa other topics.

We've got a few ex-NFA guys who pay regular visits (remember the The Word diskmag, Bodyshop collections on the Amiga?). If you wanna advertise their then go right ahead.

Cheers,

DaZ

I've signed up to that forum, but it seems the administrator wants to vet me before even being able to see anything there. I'll check back there later.....hopefully I'll be accepted hehe

It really depends on the location of the event. Since the Amiga days I've moved further and further south.

I am sure it's not true, but back then it appeared as though most of the UK scene and the bigger groups were based in the North of England, Lancashire (where I was from), Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

But I guess it could have just been that I never got to meet anyone from anywhere else

Your account is now ACTIVE!

Yeah sorry about the level of security I've put on the forum but we had a spate of dickheads who were intent on logging in and trashing all the threads, so board viewing is blocked for guests and new registrations need validating. I may relax this in time?

Cheers

It seems most of us were Northerners but there were still a good scene following down London town way etc.

Most of the parties were up North that's for sure

Well, I`d be up for it, even if it was just a good old piss up and have a laugh about the old days.
