AROS - AEROS / Broadway X in Raspberry pi

Hi,
i have a Raspberry pi for some days, to see if i like it :-)
i downloaded the AROS - AEROS / Broadway X. This is a beta version
of AROS/Linux adapted to Raspberry pi.

I was able to run it, but a lot of option don't work, i guess it's because it's Beta stage.
The resolution is 800x600 and it does not have nay other resolution....
anyone knows how to fix this?
Is there any version of Mame for Aros? or any other emulator that doesn't need much juice... Raspberry is a bit slow... at least for now.

I dont think we will be able to run much with the pi, as its mainly ment for kids to learn coding. The specs suck for running os's and emulators.

I dont think there is a way to change res at present, as its just a beta to should it can work.

Yes, i understand you, but it's low price machine, that could acess to internet, and with raspbmc or other you can use it as a multimedia. I test it with a movie in 720p and it worked fine. I think it could run a lot more stuff, sure you will not be able to run heavy games, but for things like MAME it could be great.

It's a command that you have to type in a terminal, it will change the permissions of the device fb0, whatever that is. Open a terminal window and type that. You can try pressing CTRL+ALT+ F8 or something like that, maybe F5, try different F keys until a terminal window with a login prompt appears, or if you are manually entering the X environment on boot up, do it before you enter, after you logged in.

Check the first comment though, it suggests typing another command. A sudo command will ask you for your login credentials.

If you have no idea about Linux, this hobby computer will be a pain in the ass for you. Better get learning.

You will need to be the "root" user when you type that command.
For many commands, just prefixing them with "sudo" is enough to gain the necessary permissions - but there are still a few low-level commands where even that's not sufficient.

I think the chmod should work OK with sudo though. I *think* /dev/fb0 will be the framebuffer, i.e. the display, and the chmod command basically removes restrictions on accessing it. (The first of the three digits sets permissions for the file or device node's owner, the second one sets permissions for anyone in the file's group, and the third digit sets permissions for everyone else.)
