CF Card issue

I have an 8GB Sandisk SD card which plugs into a compact flash adaptor. Installed this with CWB etc via WINUAE, all of it boots in that program without issue and all the partitions on it are visible. Made sure to set it to the exact same ROM, memory etc. WINUAE boots every time without fail but as soon as I plug the card into the A1200 it just shows the insert floppy screen.

The A1200 has KS 3.0.

Not really sure what to do next. Any ideas?

Have you tried a soft reset after initial boot?

Create WB3.0 boot floppy that includes hdtoolbox and test if hdtoolbox detects the drive.

Nothing comes up so looks like it isn't detecting the drive.

I also have a PCMCIA adaptor that lets me load CF cards, that crashes when I insert the card with an orange error screen and saying Recoverable error.

I've had the same problem with a Cisco 128MB CF card. Everything was fine on WinUAE but on the real amiga it wasn't detected. Some cards are not compatible with amigas.. that simple.
When you made it on WinUAE, did you set the controller to IDE0?

Yep. I have another 2 Mini SD cards as well (dif manufacturers) but the Sandisk 8GB was the only SD card that would be recognised in WINUAE. Also have another CF adaptor which doesn't work either.

I do have another CF card though it's only 4GB and won't fit all the files on.

That's it!! What's the point of having what you'll never play?

You must have done something wrong. Every card which can be used by Windows can also be used in WinUAE.
