WinUAE: Lemmings 2 - The Tribes: Can't access next level

I'm new to using WinUAE, and have just started playing Lemmings 2. Everything works fine, except, I can't seem to go to the next level after I complete a level. Once I click next level, the screen freezes for about a second and unfreezes with no change of level. This happens every time I click the next level button after beating a level. Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Most likely reason is broken disk image(s) or bad crack.

I remember there being an issue with the adf versions of the disks I acquired I think. It was something like the sound files (which are the same on each disk) were corrupt on one of the other disks so I just copied good ones over and replaced the corrupted ones and all was well.

Sounds pretty much like an uncracked version to me.

TheCyberDruid - I see what you mean but in my case it was defo the same with Lemmings 2 as well.

Lemmings 1 was NDOS anyway so copying files would not have been possible.

Thanks for the help guys, my only problem now is trying to find a Lemmings 2 download that has all the disks. I can't seem to find any other downloads that work, besides the one I had started with, which is the one with the next level problem I talked about before. Any ideas as to where I could find a working Lemmings 2 to download?

Just tried the Fairlight crack and I could get to the next level. Which version did you try?

I'm not sure I know which version I've been using, how would I be able to check? (Like I said, i'm new to this kind of stuff.) All I know is that I downloaded Lemmings 2 from Emuparadise.org

Okay, disk 3 is the same as the version I use, but download 'Lemmings 2 - The Tribes (1993)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 3)[cr FLT][bootable].7z' from the EAB file server (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633) in the folder 'TOSEC/Games/[ADF]/L'. This one should work using the A500 most common quickstart.

Unfortunately, no difference ( still used the disk 1 and 3 I downloaded from Emuparadise.org) It still won't let me go on to the next level after I just completed a level. Any other suggestions I could try? Oh, and thanks a lot for all your help.

crc32 please, there are some disks with checksum errors.

You can't go wrong with the IPF disks. I tested them and it worked fine. Link sent.

Hmm, two things (if Steve can't fix it

) : Boot from disk 2, not 1 and make sure you use an A500 config (just in case it still doesn't work

).

Finally fixed it, just had to download each disk of Lemmings 2 from the EAB File Server. Thanks all for their help and assistance. I'm glad I found this site when I needed help with WinUAE/Lemmings 2.

Hi. Hope it's okay to reactivate this thread. I'm having the same problem as was solved previously. I'm guessing I need pointing in tbe direction of the link to the EAB fileserver mentioned in the earlier post?
