Where can I find a manual (in electronic format, possibly) for
Octamed SoundStudio ??

YOu cannot get the manual for OcatmedSS as the program is still distributed.

If you have an original copy and you have lost your manual maybe you should contact AndreasM as it is his company that now sells OctamedSS

Are they really entitled to sell it, given the fact that the amiga version
has been released as FREEWARE by the author ??

I was right! They don't sell it anymore.
You are ridirected to Octamed SS web page, whenever u choose it from the menu,
where it can be downloaded FREELY (the amiga version).

Erm you are STILL wrong RBF's message on the Amiga page reads as follows

" OctaMED SoundStudio V2 Resurrected
( Renamed MED Soundstudio 2 )

Gerd Frank of AmiAtlas fame is working on the new V2
which is intended for use on the new Amiga OS4

At this time the release is planned for early 06.

To be kept informed how the MED Soundstudio Amiga v2
is progressing you need to join the Amiga users mailing list.
(The link is detailed below).

If you want to obtain the old Amiga v1.03c, you will also need
to join the MED Soundstudio v2 mailing list to obtain it. "

All that message says is that the OLD v!.03c is FREE NOT SoundStudio V2

& even though it's MID 2006 & there seems to be nothing new happening it has NOT BEEN MADE PUBLIC DOMAIN FREEWARE

For those who are interested in getting OctaMED Soundstudio v1.03c *WITH* the complete manual:

- Go to the official MED site here: http://www.medsoundstudio.com
- In the Amiga section, go to the download page.
- On the right side there's a link to suscribe to the mailing list (it's a Yahoo group), register there.
- When you are registered to the MED's Yahoo group, go there then open the "Files" section. Look at the file named "message.txt". It contains all the infos and the download link for OctaMED SS 1.03c!

The page with download contains a link to the manual for new features in 1.03c and the OctaMED archive contains the program AND the full user manual.

NOTE1: To get you started, there is a nice collection of 8bits samples avaibles for download on OctaMED site: http://www.medsoundstudio.com/amigasamples.htm

The samples are not free of right (ie you cannot use them in commercial productions) but they are free of charge.

NOTE2: Other sites seams to have the right to distribute legally OctaMED SS 1.03c, for example: Ami Sector One

Did anyone save copies of the files from the yahoo group? I couldn't find the relevant group with a reasonable effort now in 2017.
