I have played the latest version (beta 5). You already know about the sprite corruption so I won't mention that!
Not sure if it was intentional, but sometimes I get no hint! (empty hint text?) Sound test works (though it appears some sounds are duplicated). The enemy is pretty cool to fight, but it will be better when he jumps, climbs ladders and doesn't float between platforms Perhaps it would be better to press right when "Exit" is highlighted, rather than down, in order to get to the "sound test"? Looking forward to the next release. |

I think the hints disappearing only happens after the sprite bug, looks like something is writing to the wrong area of memory, causing corruption.
Do you know what causes the sprite bug, I'm trying to track it down so I can fix it! Sound test duplication is expected, I will remove dupes before release. Mm pushing right to select sound test would mean pushing up and down to select new sound. Mmmm let me think about that one!. Yeah fighting the monster should give the game a bit more longevity. You will start with 3 levels like now 1st world record you get will unlock sound test 2nd will unlock monster mode. 3rd will unlock 3 new maps So that's 6 totally separate maps.. With monster mode that's 12 different scores to go for, more than enough for a little game like this! Tell me about your game before the sprite bug appeared please. Did you change options, did you use the rage quit button? Did you fight before timing out on a level. If I can reproduce when it happens, much easier to fix it. I'm bug hunting now! Fixed the sprite bug, thank God!
Beta 6 is in the zone! Enemy now moves correctly Keyboard should now work I'm now working on my bug list! You need to complete: 1 world record to unlock sound test 2 different world records to unlock monster mode All 3 world records to unlock new maps (not in this beta) Remember if you to want zero the world records, select clear records twice! All feedback welcome, be sure to check out monster mode! Last edited by jimmy2x2x; 12 December 2014 at 15:03. |

Beta6 works fine on my A3000/060, Kickstart 3.1, WB3.9) so far. Just when exiting the game the whole system freezes. It does correctly restore the Workbench screen, no matter if RTG (I'm running Picasso96 on a Cybervision64) or not, but the mouse pointer doesn't move anymore and the keyboard is dead. I guess the system no longer receives any interrupts.
I will test on an A500 later, to see if it makes any difference. Have to create a disk for it first. EDIT: A500 works. No freeze on exit. Maybe an 68060 problem? Also happened with caches disabled and VBR=0. Last edited by phx; 12 December 2014 at 22:41. Reason: A500 test |

Brilliant report phx, any ideas on what the 68060 issue might be?
Also would you check if space key quits active game? Thanks! Last edited by jimmy2x2x; 13 December 2014 at 00:21. |

I have played beta6, and it is great. It's great to see the monster being intelligent. I tried a few things to see if I could get him to do something stupid, but no he is smart
Bugs: - Secrets information screen doesn't stay visible long enough to read messages properly Observations: - Resetting WR to 0 makes it easier to unlock secrets. Is this intentional? - When the monster does a flying kick into nowhere there is a slight delay before he falls (e.g. it goes from flying kick graphic -> standing graphic -> falling graphic). To see an example, play level 2 move left a bit and then crouch the all the time. He will climb ladder, do flying kick towards left of the level, fall to ground, walk to ladder and so on. |

Thanks for testing!
The secrets is meant to be that way, like a little tease to spark curiosity. Yes resetting wr to 0 makes unlocking easier, makes the game more open to different players. It's a hidden mode as most players wouldn't reset the scores twice in a row without knowing about it. I will think about this. Yeah, some of the animations need timing work, but then again I'm going for a certain look and feel and this is typical of that.. Might keep it in, again need to think about it. I've just completed the attract mode shows title page, game play with monster as a demo, shows who is king of the dungeon with the big letters, sprites are dancing about lol The main weakness is level design, I'm going to get some great levels for fighting the monster |

I wrote it already 1-2 days ago but seems net had eaten it. Like phx my system (A1200 040 3.1) freeze (can take some seconds) after exit LoveDungeonBeta5.exe. LoveDungeonBeta4.exe worked well, so you just have to look what you have changed.

Additional observation: - Monster mode automatically switched on (from off) when all unlocks achieved - intentional? |

It's coming along nicely, I have uploaded a non playable teaser to the zone, take a look if you want to see what's new and the release date!

Very cool! Finally got my A1200 back onto the network so I could take a look at this on real hardware! Nah, just kidding, but it was the first thing I downloaded to it You seem to have progressed these projects so quickly in such a short amount of time - how long have you been working on them so far?

I downloaded it yesterday, but only looked at it today.
The new levels look great, but I seem to have completely missed the release date... and I agree with spud, you have zipped through coding this game. Mine is still going at a snails pace, but I am doing the graphics, sound and coding. |

Thanks, the levels have been overhauled again, they are taking a lot of time actually.
Release date is in the high score names, almost finished it now, should be live in a couple of days! |

Xmas gift = Christmas gift
, for example. You get a gift before Christmas, meaning the release will be before Christmas! It's just a rolling demo, like watching an arcade game. I made it to show the monster can now jump gaps, punch, follow you better etc.. Final version in a day or two, just finished party mode, now working on heart attack mode + hide and seek mode!
