Help connecting A500 to CRT

Hi. I've got a standard A500. Does anyone know if it will connect to a Mitsubishi Diamond pro 720? Specs can be found here: http://reviews.cnet.com/crt-monitors...-32546978.html

Will it connect via RGB to VGA? Or will I need some special adapter for the 15 kHz signal? If so, any suggestion on where to find one and more importantly, on the cheap!

CheersTony

You'll need something like the Indivision ECS or other scandoubler to connect it to that monitor.

Nothing cheaper than that? Or any suggestions for a cheap alternative monitor. Don't want to go down the old TV route through modulator as the picture sucks and I don't like it hooked up to a lcd as it dosen't look authentic.

Wouldnt this work? It's a lot cheaper:

Get a TV with a SCART socket and use an RGB-SCART cable. It will give you a very nice picture and no judder or screen tearing due to frame rate conversion.

Do you have any suggesstion? Want to make sure I get the right one. I have rgb cables (composite) would that do the same job. Standard Yellow video lead?

Get a Sony Trininton Wega Line/FD Trinition. Probably the last and best Sony CRT ever, e.g. one of the KV21 line. I have two of them, both give you a brilliant Amiga picture via RGB.

Argh! Then buy it again. Sometimes the people offers you even money if you take their old CRTs.

Composite (single yellow rca connector) is not RGB and has very poor picture quality, only slightly better than RF.
Quality-wise the different standards rank as follows:
RGB > Component > S-Video > Composite > RF.

Here is an example of a Scart-RGB cable:
http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...roducts_id=226

They also have them in other lengths if 1.5 m is too short.
