Does someone has a working Magic fly dump ?

I am looking for something close to a good Magic Fly dump (1990, Electronic Arts Europe) for testing purposes.

I also happen to think this 3D space shooter was a bit overlooked in its time.

@hit : It can be described as a 3D indoor space sim / shooter, with your Magic Fly having multiple mechanisms to jump safely from dock to dock, both offensive & defensive. It was not released in other parts of the word, only in the EC.

A bunch of LemonAmiga voters unfairly trounced this little gem .

I also think Magic Fly is a little gem. A bit harder to get into then some other games, but really worth a try. I just wanted to say that people shouldn't be scared to play it

I just gave Magic Fly a massively low score on Lemon to cancel out your "+2 bonus".

Hang on - if you gave it a +2 bonus you only think it was worth 5/10 in the first place which means you can't have been that impressed with it. Its average rating is not far below 5. Am I missing something here?

SKR version doesn't work for me, it just crashes. Also I don't believe their crack will work even if you get the disk booting

Anyway.

First WHD version is in the Zone if anyone wants to test.
- game save/load redirected to hard disk
- better crack (I think)
- usual compatibility problems fixed

I was wondering the same thing. What was meant by "unfairly trounced"? It got a couple of fours, a couple of fives and a six which seems like legitimate votes. It's ironic that Deleauvive's illegitimate score resulted in a backlash that has driven the score lower than it would otherwise have been.

Some of us checked this game out on the newsgroup c.s.amiga.games newsgroup a few months back - its the kind of game that would normally appeal to me, being 3D, mixing genres and being a bit different and original - in some ways a predecessor of Descent. I was discouraged though by the slow pace of the game which seemed to consist of a lot of flying down seemingly endless corridors, and while the opportunity for an action aspect exists, it has been implemented in a (for me) very uninspired manner.

Certainly though, the game has some cool features with the 3D mapping, the 3D database and the variety of weapons and ships.

No idea, i've never played it nor downloaded it, but I find it odd that Skid Row would release a game that didn't even boot up, that for even them would be rather odd.

I would suggest a crap image on planetemu.

No really, if Deleauvive wouldn't have told it here the average score would be 5.17 now. That's why I meant it's pretty pointless to discuss one's personal taste in games

What's pointless is trying to manipulate scores by up or down voting. People should vote what they think a game deserves and others will do the same and eventually a valid score will emerge. The +2 idea is idiotic. I wouldn't be surprised if someone was looking at the 103 games that Deleauvive has voted on and systematically canceling out his votes.
