@haps
Thx for telliing the name of the drive you used to read those, are those tapes just for the Amiga ? I wondered cause I got an empty tape & a tape with the label "OpenBASIC Level 3.0", got them from cleaning a cellar of a hospital while I was working there, they gave us any old computer stuff for free. |

The site is great but I think it's missing some sort of upload rules, for example I think it shouldn't be allowed for someone to upload a game collection consisting on a single 600Mb+ zip file. I mean, how do I know what's in there. It should be easier for everybody if each game was rared or zipped in a separate archive.

I agree with you completely, the rule (or rather advice) about avoiding collections are stated on the upload page. But i forgot about archives, which are actually worse since, as you said, one can not know what it contains unless the uploader lists its contents in the description/nfo. Well but thanks for that info now. About the collection packs: I got them some time ago from a different torrent site, it's just a big mess of files with bad filenames (e.g. Disk1.adf), well at least it filled up few missing ADFs in my TOSEC dat. Anyway it's not that usefull at all because it's more an unsorted piece of ... than a nice collection. |

hmm... has this been abandonned? looking into a tracker for my next amigaonline torrent, and having another look at the site, i notice a few things:
1) not many torrents 2) no active torrents at all 3) the rules are pretty slim - there's some fairly obvious questions need answering about what amiga stuff cant be uploaded! i still cant help but think the site would have a lot more content and active users if it allowed torrents tracked elsewhere. if i -do- use amitorrents as the tracker, i will still add several other trackers too, and upload it elsewhere. |

I have a iso of amiga games... it comes in at just 4.44gb (think it covers most games made) and a application one that weighs in at 814mb all in zip format, and already ADF
