How to correctly create a poll thread?

sorry for the noob question, i'm just not sure

if i start a new thread, i see down the option to add a poll and select how many poll options, but then, choosing preview post i don't see anything that let me to edit the poll itself

maybe i should submit the new thread and then start to edit the poll, or something different?

You have to create the poll before you post the thread. Only moderators can add poll options after the poll is posted.

i see that a thread tools (containing a 'add a poll to this thread') appears in the right part of the screen, but only after having 'submit new thread'?

You first create the thread and then you add the poll in a second step.
