It is indeed possible, if the drive writing to the disk was somehow faulty, or the disk is from 1992..

ok thanks. damn!! That basically means I'll have to buy that floppy disk again. I'm on a roll of badlucks this week!!

You can buy new disks from Amiga Kit Pains me to think what goodies can be lost with media so old these days... thank god for SPS and ADF images!!

Of course it's fixable. And if you send it to me, I can guarantee I will restore it to exactly as it was before the bad block appeared, with the disk format refreshed and all original files restored to their original places on the disk, i.e. a block-for-block replica of the original disk when new.

You could fix it yourself, but without owning another disk of exactly the same type, you would not end up with an original disk.

You are welcome to send it to me. PM me if you're interested and I'll tell you where to send it. And I'll return it to you like new within a few days.
