Black keycaps for A1200?

Well,this isn't exactly a problem,but...

I just finished painting my A1200 in silver, and I think it would look very nice with black keys...I have over twenty keyboards lying around in workshop, but no one has keys that fit :-(

So,where could I buy black keycaps? ( I presume CDTV keyboard might do,but if I ever get my hands on CDTV,it's for sure I ain't gonna dismantle it)

you could do what a forum member ( BarrySWE ) here did.. modifying the top of the A12 with a slimline keyboard... i personally thought it looked very good..

i cannot find the exact post atm so heres a quick diagram... (remeber its quick lol)

another method you could use is spray the keys the colour you want and then to use decales (not the crappy sticky ones!) that you can print your own from here http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk...uct%20page.htm

it would be a bit more work but one that i believe would be worth it.

Well,I've been testing transparent black spray, however, keys turned out dark grey, which didn't look too bad but that type of spray isn't sweat resistible, and also isn't compatible with any form of clear finish spray, hence it's unusable :-(

I prefer not to use decals.

Anyway, thanx for the reply,i'll try to find that post by BarrySWE.

hmmm i would use spay (undercoat grey, then matt black) then laser-printed rub-on decales followed by a two coat spay of hardining lacqure (matt or gloss your preference... )

I have use that method many times and i have found quite hard wearing..

hmmm I admit its a (hell of a) lot of work, but it is worth it...

still i do like barrySWE's approach.... thanks for finding it loopos
