Funny AmiWest story

So as you know, AmigaKit was at/sponsoring this years' AmiWest show. They had to ship a significant chunk of their merchandise all the way from the UK, including a bunch of A1200s that apparently cost quite a bit to ship.

My memory is hazy as to whether this resulted in higher prices than the web store or not, but this is where it got interesting - they instructed all other vendors at the show not to sell their 1200s for a lower price. This brilliant scheme soon blew up in their faces; they sold a grand total of one machine and were forced to ship all of that heavy unsold merchandise all the way back. Whoops!

This is complete nonsense.

Your memory must be very hazy. We sold the A1200s at a lower price than the webstore. We didnt ship any back. We did not price fix as this is illegal.

Why waste bandwidth posting this misinformation- what do you have to gain by trying to discredit us publicly? We don't support Amiwest and SACC for profit. We support this event as it is the most significant US Amiga event and deserves to be supported.

The story came from a friend of a friend and is, now that I actually think about it, a load of crap. What was I thinking?

I apologize for any trouble I may have caused.
