Defjam Tetris Cracktro music

Hi, I had no success ripping this with JTR, and soundripper I think it was called.

Does any one have the music to this intro?

The intro came in to files, and seems only to work on the A500 because it loads directly to $40000 I think.

Any way the intro has a DEFJAM logo in a font going up and down.
Stars in the background moveing to wards the foreground , rotating clockwise anti clockwise every 20secs or something.

And has a 2 lines scrolling, one at the top, and one at the bottom, with greetz and saying who the members are etc. I tried checking the links mentioned but couldn't find it. Also www.chiptunes.com had some error.

Arrow Custom mod

Don Adan/Wanted Team is the master music ripper but I had a quick look and it has -- BEATHOVEN 1.09 - SEQUENCER/SYNTHESIZER (C) BY TH. LOPATIC -- in the music routine. The music is played via the vertical blank interrupt and probably would have to be ripped as a custom mod.

I've put a WHDLoad slave up in the Zone which at least means you can run the intro easily and get a memory dump. Don Adan will need that if you wish to contact him.

The tune you're after is here:

http://amiga.emucamp.com/wt/files/ex...SS_Ganymed.lzx

It's subtune 2, playable on Delitracker/Eagleplayer (with noteplayer) or Deliplayer on Windows.

Ahhh, good old Amiga cracktro tunes before Matt Simmonds "invented" his wasps trapped in a bag, with someone playing a kazoo whilst sneezing chip tune invasion of late 1989.

Does anyone know if Thomas Lopatic was the exclusive user of his Beathoven (geddit?) editor/player, as the Tristar tune (Funny Funk) sounds a lot like Knackosoft & Flynn's work for the same group.

Ahhh, memories.

Incidentally, from the same author:

http://amiga.emucamp.com/wt/examples.html

But then I guess you've already worked that out.

If you enjoy the good ol' 87-88 cracktro tunes (almost exclusively primitive re-workings of gay club hi-energy and italo disco anthems FOR SOME REASON) then I thoroughly recommend:

In 80 Days Around The World
Journey (funny, always thought this was by Darius Zendeh)
Black Monks Trainer
Phalanx2 (hints of Comic Bakery)
Funny Funk
Stars (ubiquitous intro tune from 1988)
Tristar (incidentally, this comes from Tristar's crack of Tetris and Thunder Boy)
Tristar Third Intro (Knackosoft & Flynn - with Soundtracker instruments)
Zoom! (I'm sure there's a version of this featuring a T.Lopatic cover of MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This - except it doesn't feature in either the Europe or US rip)

Incidentally, if you're downloading .lzx files to play in Deliplayer (PC) be sure to drag them to the playlist rather than straight to the control panel in case there're several files (Deliplayer unpacks lzx files natively if you do that...)

If you're especially into New Zealand originated files, enjoy the Nukebusters music supplied for the Bamiga Sector One intro to Titus' Galactic Conqueror. It's lovely.

I sleep now.

Don't UnLHA it. Deliplayer can read the LHA'ed file.

Regarding chipmusic, there were loads of rubbish tunes, but loads of very, very godo tunes that used this technique differently.
