I'm finding this very difficult, almost impossible to control the character, especially going up and down those birdseed-type holders.

I'm sure in the first game you could slide into baddies to kill them, in this one it inflicts damage on you.

The controls are definitely finnicky.

I'm using a gamepad with WinUAE. I unmapped Joy2 Up and remapped it to a button. I have jump as the middle button and fire to the right (and space mapped to the left button for bombs). To jump off a wall reliably I hold down the Up button (starts climbing) and then tap left or right.

I got completely stuck on Tooting Common stage 2, after the invisible block traverse. There was one square block I could shoot on the far left but I couldn't see what to do from there.

Looked it up on YouTube and I'm stupid. I forgot Zool had a backflip move and that's how you progress from there.

The acceleration is too abrut, not progressive enough. So the control of Zool is not optimal.

To backflip run towards a wall and tap fire as you hit it.

In this run I found it useful to continually spin attack in the air. This gives invulnerability from most enemies, including sparks and other unshootable things. This works until the ice levels where you need to start shooting while jumping.

Not a bad game, the level design is better than Superfrog with a harder challenge.

Better than the original, thankfully. Shame about the horrendous slowdown when the screen gets busy (at least on WHDLoad). Things definitely get a bit tricky by World 3.

Good platformer (good level design, good challenge, good gfx & music) but far from perfect (too slowdowns, zool that slides a little too much, no music and sound effects at the same time).

I had Zool on PC but didn't like it so I wasn't happy about Zool 2 being played. But it's a very pleasant surprise. Cool game with good replay value due to slightly different paths for Zool and Zooz.

Game would be much better if enemies didn't respawn.

Just noticed picking up extra lives doesn't work in the ADF-version. No wonder this seems so hard.

It's the last day anyway but it'd be nice if someone could make a WHDLoad-HDADF.

edit: My bad, you just have to actually collect the 1up-"text".

It doesn't fit on a HD ADF so here's a bootable HDF instead.

Just add it as DH0 in harddrives tab and use A1200+4mb quickstart.

That was fast, thank you! Although I was wrong with my assumption it's good to not have to change disks anymore.

This was done with the SPS version. To get through the security check you can use this: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=654500&postcount=9

Lost a lot of lives trying to reach an area that's hard to get to.

Will have another go now using the HDF ignoring that area.
