We can't cancel it. No point playing for three weeks and deciding it doesn't count. It hasn't been a great success but that happens sometimes.

No, I don't have a problem with higher scores because that's what I was planning on doing anyway I just thought it would end on a nice round number like L100 instead of L94
I wouldn't have got anywhere near the 1M+ scores, I was just hoping to protect 3rd place a bit more. |

Maybe we should have a new rule for the competition - during the first week of each round we can suggest methods of increasing your score openly on the thread, and if a mod deems any of them score leeching then those methods are banned. Then the score leeching rules will be clear for everyone, rather than each individual person deciding whether something is leeching or not. TBH, one of my methods on Atom Smasher may possibly qualify as leeching, but only on a very small scale.

Hmm... to be honest the lines often get pretty blurred with what's score leeching and what isn't. I take a lot of responsibility for this one - I voted for it and just assumed it would be okay so hands up, it was my fault. It's not fair to punish others for my mistake. As footballers often say, we'll take each game as it comes
If anybody does find a possible way to score leech in future then please post it and we'll make a decision. Very rarely is it black and white. |

And all over (I'm sure you're all pleased to hear).

In my opinion it would be fair to rate this game as a win for Rex, too, as the score at some point was kinda meaningless...

I have found "v1.4 of Tetris Pro" on Aminet. Avoid it! The least challenging tetris of my life! Compared to it, the version we just played in the compo simply rocks!

Sorry for bumping this thread (I know the competition is over).
I just wonder how you complete the game. Do I need to get to level 99 or do I have play to the last picture? If so, how many pictures are there? |
