When you have a browser that works with 99% of the websites in the world, why install one that doesn't?

It would be smarter to just install mIRC and avoid the CGI-IRC client.

I always have this problem too Ian. I always stop it when the window comes up and refresh. Stupid, but it works...

Hmm, worse and no Opera isn't the answer, I'd sooner install mIRC again.

This is for RCKs benefit, to see if there really is a problem.

Ok .. after seeing this thread again i thought i'd stick me two penneth in.

I just went too the top, clicked CHAT, got same as IAN in 1st post
(mine = ie6 etc...) but if i hit refresh it resizes the screen tonormal.

Seem like the irc client is hardcoded to a certain depth or summat and doenst like BIG clients 1st off.

Refreshing no longer fixes the problem for me, it always looks like the above picture now

However, I just clicked the chat button and didn't resize the window until it had finished loading and it was fine.

It's works here in Opera and in IE6 SP1. Does it use Java at all? Have you got the latest Java machine installed?

no it don't use java.. (maybe it would work better in java, lol )
anyway the irc web portal is just one alternative option for people behind firewall, at work / school, etc.. and I know there is and will be problem with it

(try the refresh tips, it work well in general)
