This is a card game, probably PD (?).
If you press the RIGHT mouse button in the game, you can read Amiga Halv-Tolv 1988. So the game is Danish origin.

(The correct German translation of "halv-tolv" appears to be "halb zwölf", so in English it would probably be half past eleven then. )

Any Danes around here that could recognize this thing?

No, because it's not a time. "Half 12" is the name of the card game, as you can see yourself. In Danish you don't express time in the same manner as in German, so you cannot translate it this way. Which isn't needed also, because "Half 12" is already the correct translation for halv-tolv.

English way of saying is not HALF xx, but HALF _PAST_ xx.

Looking at the time again..it was much too late when I wrote this that busy Thursday.

In Danish you don't express time in the same manner as in German

We say the time either way here in Australia. Probably applies in some other English-speaking countries too.

We do say "half 12" here in the UK, but it is probably just lazy/slang. The thing to note is that I have never ever seen it *written* like that - so I have to assume that whenever it is written in English (in England), it is "half past 12" or "12:30".
