Well it is a great game. No denying that - I do have a few niggles with it (no aftertouch / if you're injured you can't play) but I am only one season into it now after restarting - my little dude is the top scorer!
Got hammered by Arsenal (we won't go into that) while my guy was injured but overall I'm still enjoying it! Really forgot how fun this game can be! Be great to run it off a HD though - especially if it took advantage of the faster processor so when it's generating the teams at the beginning it's quicker! Macca |

To speed things up a little you could select ` fastest possible but maintain timing` option in the cpu tab

I could - but this is going to be ran on a proper Amiga... hence the need for a HD install if possible (hate rumaging through disks).

I would also like a WHDload install for this game. I can't wait for it, really, I have fond memories of this one. Never got to play it since I got my first A1200.

"Hard Drive install ... cpu tabs.... " :
Are you talking about PC emulators? I have the original Amiga 500+ ...brought back from the land of the forgotten, just for Player Manager ... which I went on a crazy hunt around the world to buy again!! Amazing game! The best on ANY platform to date. |

This would be a good game to run off the harddrive. Kickoff and Kickoff 2 have been done why not player manager?

Because Player Manager takes a long time to playtest. Theres nothing tricky about it, copy protection is useless, game is buggy, but to playtest properly, you have to sit around whilst it generates its first game. Takes ages!

Any chance of a beta whdload for it then? Like the kickoff 2 one. Other people could playtest it then.

That updated date for Player Manager is a misnomer. When a WHDLoad author updates his listing for what installs he is doing, the date for all of them is updated. So in actuality, Player Manager might well have no progress whatsoever, but as soon as the listing is updated, all of that authors installs are updated to show the last date the list was modified.
