Amiga 1000 w/ JU-363-03 Drive

Hi Folks, I have a strange problem - thought I'd throw it out there incase anyone else has come across it or has any ideas.

I've got an A1000 here which isn't loading from the floppy disk (JU-363-03), the drive spins, head moves and appears to read a little then presents the Insert Kickstart Disk screen.

Having done checks on the drive, and system, I couldn't find anything wrong so I plugged the floppy drive into an A500 I had handy and it worked with no issues on the A500. I had another JU-363-03 handy from an A1000 that wasn't working and ran it on the A1000 in question, and it worked. I tried another drive which also worked just for good measure. Swap back to the original JU-363-03 and it doesn't load Kickstart....

I checked the 5V and 12V rails while the drive was running, no drop - and checked the power supply briefly for signs of failure and everything looks fine in there as well. The capacitors look ok on the drive, there's nothing standing out as a potential reason for the drive not to work on its original system.

Do change the capacitors on the drive. They often run out on old Panasonic drives and fail to read.

Any tips for getting the screw on the main hub undone? Half of the caps are on the other side of that board. I can't get it to move, busted one good screwdriver on it so far..

I hope that's not necessary, but screws on rotating elements are often treaded the opposite way.
