Well if you are using a modem, I guess NComm is there terminal to use but I don't know how many BBS's still have dial up lines.

I started with dialup several months ago and for that you can use the 2600.network and call into that which then routes through telnet. But now I have a WiFi modem that lets the computer think it’s a Hayes modem but it’s actually using IP. You use AT commands but instead of phone number you use the URL of the bbs-> ATDT <url>
